Marylebone project London.

We started work about a week ago on quite a big Crestron installation in Marylebone, London. It's a contemporary townhouse where we're going to be installing the new Crestron Digital Media system. This was my first time programming the Digital Media stuff and found it surprisingly a lot more straight forward than other Crestron systems, i.e. the adagio! The core of the project will be based around Kaleidescape music and video servers, distributing music and video to 8 rooms, including a Home Cinema. I think the Kaleidescape system is a fantastic piece of kit, the user interfaces are second to none and they definitely have that special wow factor. You may be interested in an Ipod/Iphone interface I wrote as a Crestron Module. It allows you on-screen control of a kaleidescape player and scrollable lists for selecting music. Here's a link to the video example we have on you-tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD-nmsxKlYw . I might post a more detailed breakdown on the module at a later date and talk about the challenges of using the Kaleidescape control protocol.

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll try and post some updates/photos of how the project is coming along.

Dave.
